Been raining hard here for about 2 hours now. If this front will pass on through, I'll try to get out this evening.
About the same here for me. Cold weather is coming and I'll be very surprised if bucks aren't on their feet a lot around me. Also heading on my hunting trip this weekend so will be hitting it hard all day Friday thru Sunday on some public. Hopefully be able to get a doe on the ground and maybe a nice public buck!
This cold front coming is going to be awesome! I'm optimistic to see my giant friday night! Say a prayer that I will be able to draw back my bow. Lol
Plan on hunting pretty much every day starting tomorrow through our gun season which starts November 22nd. Highs tomorrow are supposed to be in the 40's. Good luck to all and remember to stay safe!

Had a fun sit tonight... Saw a small buck and doe. Buck was at least a little interested in the doe - though not full out chasing or anything... I actually got a cool video (just from my cell phone) of the buck and doe - the buck is rubbing a little tree and you can see the deer and their reflections in the water - pretty neat... A lot of corn in yet around here...
I got rained out today...Going try to get out in the morning though. Lord, please let Dan kill a giant!!! Thank you.
Nice!!! Way to go brother!!! I had a small 6 point come by me at daylight....then the "doe patrol" (6 does and fawns) came by at 8:00, awesome morning to be in a tree.
Go get em guys! As of 4am tomorrow morning I am on leave. Will be hunting for a 3.5 yr old public land buck here in VA. That is my only mission! Im glad you had a good morning Josh...sign of things to come.
Attaboy! College sucks.. Haha. Im sorry I haven't been able to contribute much yet. Every time I think I am going to get a chance to make it to the woods something comes up. The good thing is it is always really slow down here in LA during the early season. Things are really about to slow down with school and I will have more breaks coming up. Also, our rut isn't until the end of Dec/ beginning of Jan so I am not missing anything. A major cold front is supposed to be coming through here in about a week and we should see our first cold weather. I can't wait to get up in a tree!
