Been a not so great morning. But so far have seen 5 does and 4 bucks. None were shooters.

Friday night I saw 24 deer from stand.......Saturday and Sunday I saw a total of zero deer. It was an odd weekend.

I probably screwed up on Friday as I had two does and a fawn coming in and I let them go unscathed through my thirty yard lane because in just a few more steps they would be in my 20 yard lane and with it as windy as it was, I felt more comfortable with the 20 yard shot. Yep, they never made my 20 yard lane and went a different direction leaving me holding my arrow. Should have shot.

MN, I believe you made the right choice Your instincts told you to wait for a better shot and you did. Good work.

Had a pretty eventful weekend.Saturday night I had a 145 inch main frame 8 with some trash at 80 yards. Sunday night I had a 110 inch 8 at 66 yds, I probably would have shot him if he was a little closer. Heading to argyle to hunt tonight

Haha. It was good in terms of deer sightings.

Not good because I got on the road a little late, guy was at a spot I planned on hunting, then the hike up to the top of the mountain was rough.

It was all worth it though.

Going out Saturday morning and night. Can't wait. Went out last Saturday and saw 3 deer from stand on the neighbors corn field. Got another stand hung on a different property that I've been meaning to hang for a while now. I feel good about it. Put a camera overlooking the creek crossing where I plan on killing deer from. This property has me stumped so I just threw up a stand in a decent looking area and will give it a whirl I suppose.

    Good luck.

I don't know if I will be getting out the rest of this week. I'll for sure be hunting Saturday and Monday.

Well to hunts in so far. Between my wedding and friends weddings I haven't had many chances to go out. No deer so far but wind direction has kept me out of my best two stands. Going out with the wife tomorrow and probably be hitting the woods every day the rest of the week. Definitely ready to spend more time in the woods and put some more points on the board!

Hope everyone is doing great! I've had my full of elk hunting for the year - to the point of being sick of it ha ha... Spent time hunting two different mountain ranges in WY during Sept and then finished up in SD with a decent bull. Saw a fair amount of elk - ready to get back into the swing of things at home....
