Hunted all day yesterday and am in stand this morning. This wind is killer. Anyone else having problems with slow deer activity?

Today was the first day, I was skunked both morning and evening. Slow day today for me as well Brauer. Made it better watching the OU Texas game on my phone... poor poor Sooners. Serves them right for all the crap I heard after our loss.

OU played pretty terrible, I was depressed yesterday..........until I found this guy :tu: . I got off of work at about 4:30 Saturday evening, and drove about 20 mph over the speed limit until I got my gear and ended up in the treestand at about 5:30. At about 6:45ish I heard movement about 150 yards on the other side of the bottom I was hunting and I decided to grunt a few times. Within five minutes he snuck within 25 yards of my stand without me even realizing he was there. He walked straight at my tree then decided to turn broadside at a whopping 4 yards then I let him have it. It's been nearly three years since I've shot a deer with a bow and it's great to get that "I just pissed myself" feeling back. He scored 108 6/8, not a monster but I couldn't be happier!

Awesome buck! Congrats! OU made me sick yesterday. That texas team is bad and they made OU look like jv players.

Just got this big boy on the camera last night. He was in there 3 days ago. Anyway, there's now a new #1 on the hit list!

Oklahoma99 great buck buddy! I would shoot my neighbor to even see any bone from my stand this season. The past 4 sits have been DEAD for me. I think I need to do some squirrel control, they are driving me nuts!

Anyone had experience with pecan trees? Found a huge one on the land I hunt (pecans still green), curious if the deer will hit it hard once they start to crack.

BRauer over at my place I have 3 apple trees, 2 pecan trees, and a black walnut tree within 100 yds of eachother, and I see all of these shells on the ground. I'm not sure if it's the squirrels or deer, but everyone on the ground has been slplit and emptied.
