Good to know there's other people from Delaware County on here! I'll be hunting just north of Jay.

My uncle already has almost 1000 acres in northern Leflore. That's where I spend most of my time. No bears on that place. Plus we have the cabin down close to where you are from. I was gonna try bears this year. It's just a tough pill to swallow when you have a lifetime license and still have to buy a bear tag......

Yea I remember you saying that now, I know what you mean about the bear tag. It's a crappy deal. I think it'll be added in in the near future though, kind of like elk/antelope has been

I hope they go ahead an add it. To me that license should pay for everything in the state I want to hunt. No exceptions. They just like making that extra $$$$

The argument is that the bear tag came after the price jump to $775 hence it's not included, but I agree with you.
They do like the money, but that's in part due to not being funded by any state sales taxes. If nobody buys licenses we wouldn't have much of a wildlife dept.
With all that being said, it came up as a proposed rule change last year and was shot down. It'll eventually happen

    Nice catch Caddis...
Don't hold it against me fellas (and ladies) but I live in Texas and hunt Oklahoma. I think I'm "entitled" :) as my dad was born there, my son graduated from OU on my dime and I pay the high cost of non-resident license fees (no complaint from me). My son's good friends live in the OKC area and have a couple places I can fill a doe tag. I've gotten to know the biologist and warden near where I hunt and they've told me I do a better job of policing the area for trash than the locals do. Just trying to do my part. Z7 is on my team in the deer contest this year and we hope to get together to do some hunting this season. Wish you all a safe and successful season. Here's a couple of Okie deer I'm hoping to meet up close and personal this season.[IMG][IMG][IMG]

These guys look like they are almost ready to go! I went to OSU so I feel the need to tell you that you wasted your $$$, but I would just be kidding of course lol. Since my Dad can't get more than 3 shots off with his bow w/o whining (lol) he borrowed my Uncle's Barnett 400. This is gonna be our first year hunting together and hopefully his first kill (50 years old), i'm putting him in a ground blind about 30 yds away from the apple tree these deer hit regularly b/c he can't sit still. I'm really excited for him, I think i'm gonna be glassing his blind more than watching my area lol. I'm getting about 300 pics every week. Not too many big bucks and when I do see them they are in between 3-5 am. I don't know about you all but we've got 3 different does that dropped twins this year. Maybe it was the drought last year? 10 more days Okie's///

I'm from Sand Springs. I will be hunting private property just south of skiatook. I did dove hunt up at skiatook this year though.

Sooooo many does, very few bucks. Hopefully they will break out of the bachelor packs and start looking for territory soon. Although I do have 3 BIG does coming in at 7:15-7:45 am and then again at 5:30-6:00pm. I'd love to fill up the freezer before the rut so I can relieve some of the pressure lol.
