And I thought I was the only one that didn't like him lol. I can't stand asking for something to be done just to have him say "Oh trust me, you don't want/need that. The way I do it is......" What does it matter buddy, I'm freakin paying you?! I only go if I have to, but most of the time I go to Wood's Archery outside of Jay.
I hear you Oklahoma99. David Hale is by far the best in Grove now. I didn't even know there was a place in Jay. My dad has unbelievable dumb freaking luck when it comes to things lol. He got to Grove late and was hustling to get to the blind, walked around it on my quiet trail and that little buck was eating corn on the other side of the blind. Luckiest unlucky man in the world lol.
David Hale? Wood's Archery is just a part time thing a guy does in a shop by his house. He's lives down Rattlesnake Road, it's kind of back out of the way, but he does a good job. Haha yeah that's about as lucky as it gets.
In February he's going to be opening new place open up south of Honey Creek bridge. on the West side of the road, they are gonna call it Honey Creek Outdoors. They're gonna have fishing and hunting stuff and an indoor archery range. I figured you would like to know about it. I'm really excited about, because I can drive my boat to it lol.
Well the season is over for sure now. I hope everyone enjoyed every moment they had in the tree b/c it's gonna be another 9 1/2 months before we get to do it again!
Hey thanks it'll be nice to have a decent full time archery shop around here. And now the wait begins......
I'm going to be going and doing some snooping around. I am kinda turned off by public land because I feel like I will piss a whole bunch of people off. Also I hate thieves and I know that there are people that hangout there and steal anything that is left there.
Damn, sold my bow. Got $575 for it on EBay. Going to be looking at the new Elite's they've got an Honey Creek Outdoors. He's got the shop open now. He's got hydro dipping, a bait hop, archery shop, and planning to get guns soon.
Evening okies! Im hailing from norman. anybody hunting the thunderbird area? there are some thick spots out there that were hit by a nader that I'm gonna check out this coming year. 5 more months and we're hunting!
106 days until the CO elk opener fellas! Another month after that until OK deer opener. It'll be here before we know it!
I am new to the whole Oklahoma thing but I am looking for more options for archery season that could possibly help me with whitetail this coming season. Anyone willing to help me out here I am in the Fort Sill area.
contact the wildlife department and get a wildlife management area book. It has maps of public areas. which oklahoma has quite a few to offer. Are you in the army? I think ft. sill offers hunts. I live in norman and I am hunting lake thunderbird hard this year!
