I am a little late putting this up, but I wanted to share it with you guys because it was a blast. This past weekend me and some of my cousins and uncles as well as my brother and dad went on a dove hunt out west on my uncles place. On Saturday we got permission to hunt a corn field that was loaded with dove. Eight of us ended up limiting out (15 birds a piece) in two and a half hours (120 birds total). It was a blast and we ended up killing a 186 birds for the weekend. It was a great time with my family and really nice to get away for the weekend! Here are some pictures from the hunt on Saturday.
Man, that's a sweet mess of doves. We are loaded up with them here too this year. Wrap some bacon and stick a pepper on them brother.
That is a good haul! I wanted to go back out tonight, hunted Monday. Just got home too late. Gonna try and slide out one night next week, want some bacon wrapped dove breast!
I love dove hunting. I'll post pictures tomorrow, but I'm up to 80 or so for the season so far. Great eating!!!
