Hah that's exactly what we do in August. You can see some mega giants in there with velvet that time of year.
If I had to guess I'd say we're not finding out anything today. I've refreshed my computer 648 times since 3pm. Sucks. I'm ready to be disappointed lol
Not selected either. I put in for Elk and Antelope. Is there any sort of preference given based on how many times you put in/Do they award points if you don't get selected? Or is it random every year?
You should receive a preference point every year that you’re not selected. However, if you go 5 years without putting in for that category of hunt your points will be erased.
I didn’t draw squat again. Now I have a ton of points in elk, goat, and deer. My 9year old did draw for rifle out of pushmataha though. I’m super excited for him to go on that hunt. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Lol, I have 4 points in the deer category. My uncle drew McAlester this year. He gets drawn every two years it seems like. That should be a great hunt! Good luck to that little dude, go shoot a biggun!
I have a big 10 point on my wall from Gruber. I didn't draw there but there's a section you can hunt every year without drawing.
I have a buddy that wants to go and I have heard good things but never been myself. Pretty sure he didnt draw but knows about the public access.
It's not a bad place to hunt. It gets really over crowded. The morning I killed mine I seen at least 9 other hunters. I think you still have to take a little class to get a permit to hunt out there.
Try roofing in this crap. I've started making the crews only tear off and do one slope at a time bc who the hell knows if its gonna rain in twenty minutes or not. Cant win for losing this summer.
I've been caught in a surprise rain storm twice this summer when working/scouting. I'm over it. Dont even mention the ticks this summer, very thick.
Welp, it’s another hot one today. Those of y’all working out in this crap, take care of yourselves and drink plenty of fluids!
Boy that ain't no joke, this humidity ever clears out it might be hot but at least it will be comfortable. I've already made plans for a trip to South Dakota in mid August just to get out of here for a bit.
