It's 77 degrees here & no wind. A little warmer than I like, but I'm trying out a new spot in some pines. Figure the skeeters here will have drained me by the time it closes tonight. Hopefully I'll get a look at something moving thru. Hard to say. It's a new spot & I don't know if they go thru in the am or pm. Well traveled in Feb/Mar. Hopefully, the next time I post is tonight w/a kill! C-Ya!

Well boys the skeeters were as bad as I was anticipating. They were attacking me as I walked down the road to my tree, and once in the woods it was skeeters-56, Hank-0. Thank God for my Thermacell. Damn things were unbeliveable. I climbed that tree as fast as possible so I could get the Thermacell fired up. That Thermacell is unbeliveable. Soon as I turned it on, skeeters gone.
Now as for deer hunting. How many deer would be around you if the guy living nearby was screaming outside for/at his kid for a solid 15 min, with the kid yelling back his answers. Then 4 shots of a .22 crack off across the road in the pines nearby. So needless to say, I saw zip, nothing, nadda, not a sound of branches breaking or anything. But I still enjoyed my self being out there again. We'll try again tomorrow, and maybe Fri. Tomorrow, I'll be going out w/my son for his first hunt. I may take the video with & climb a tree near him to tape him. Weather here is not cooperating. Summer is back again. Fri we're supposed to have a cold front come thru & drop the highs to the mid 60;s and lows in the upper 40's-lower50's.
Thanks for all the well wishing. I was hoping to bring back good news, but it's just getting started.

If the Skeeters are that bad in WI, I might as well take my Thermacell and 2 pints of blood along next Thursday.
