I hunt from the ground so it's not as much of a problem. I'll also try to hunt the lee side of the mountains if I'm after goats. Year before last it never blew less than 25 and most days it was over 50 up on top. (Of course I only got out 2x's that year too...) You guys should have a backup ground blind for those windy days.
We got enough rain yesterday to raise the pond level 2'. Today the wind has continuously blown hard enough that there are whitecaps on the pond. I want to get out there so bad it hurts, but not in this crap. BTW this all came from Kansas. Blame it on them!!! lol
Were getting the a$$ end of it in ohio...i think it will clear up alittle sooner for you guys..... 70 degrees......25-30..mph winds...crazy..i thought about it.....thought about it ... and then gave up...wanted to get out tonight..but its ridiculous outside... It would be one of those nights you get up there..and tell yourself, what the hell am I doing..ha, tree swaying from side to side.. But i did look again just now at the weather..gonna try and get up here tomorrow morning.. if it is still to windy, prollly wont go..then the LIGHT OF HOPE.. It said this sunday morning...wind 7mph - 10mph SE...temp of 45'...but feels like 37' degrees...should be an awesome time to be out...specially, hopefully if they hold up alitte this next day or so.....Full moon will be on us Nov 2,...its all going to come together fellas, dont you worry. All you western states...thanks for the weather...appreciate ... O-H-I-O ........wheres BUCKEYE when you need him?
Iowa sucks and Kansas Blows! I blame both states! I was swaying in the wind today for sure here in Missouri. Should have gotten a doe but she got behind me where I didn't have a shot before she went into a bedding area. The deer were moving this morning. I always try to hunt ditches when it is this windy. Seems like deer will move up and down them to stay out of the wind.
