All this gusty 25 mph winds It kept me in bed this morning but im going to brave it this evening. I have a list of suspects directly to the West of me that sent this bad mojo my way, you guys know who you are thanks alot punks :D good note, low of 37 for the weekend. Im sending the rain and winds East of me, so you guys get ready and strap in :D
I know what you mean. Last night (http://forums.bowhunting.com/showthread.php?t=8375) I had to get out of a stand because the tree was swaying so much I could not hold the bow steady enough to shoot.
And tommorow is not supposed to be much better here at least. What do you guys to do combat the wind? Try and set-up up in lower spots thinking the deer will move trying to avoid the wind as well?
I can only imagin what you get where your at Steve 35 sucks Camp, you have anything to do with this weather package sent to me?? :D
I know what your saying. Wind and rain! I'm after a good one that is leaving his sign often but this weather has not been good for daylight movement. I'll be out dodging raindrops and swinging in the wind shortly.
I wish. If I did send it your way then I would of sent ALL of it and then it would be gone from here. :D
You guys don't still use NOAA to check your weather, do you? I got cheated and down right lied to too many times from them. Their "Reports" almost killed me last year.
I have one of those but it drives me nuts It goes crazy sometimes. Im just a weather channel guy that checks checks area temps and watches the radar. I rely on my windmill outside for wind direction
I woke up, saw the tress in the yard swaying like crazy, and went back to sleep. Hunters have no business in the tree in weather conditions like that.
I meant the website. I hate weather radios. they are annoying. I started comparing day 2 day forcasts between NOAA, Accuweather, and weatherbug last year. Accuweather was almost spot on for the area, 8 out of 10 days. THey others were sometimes 15 degrees off. NOAA said it was going to quit snowing around 10am one day, so I went up, parked, and went into the pines to hunt. When I came out at 11:30, there was almost 8" of snow in addition to the 1' we had on the ground. I could barely see my jeep from 40yds. so I went back to hunting till 2:30. then gave up. When I left , it took something around 3 hours to get to the city, and another good while to get through that. the whole drive only takes 45 minutes usually. It was crap. I quit listening to them after that. PS: Thread jack over. Blood- I didn't send it. I swear.
Kinda both. If It stays windy the deer gotta move eventually but I'm not a fan either of having my scent blowing every where when It's gusting either.I also don't like shooting In real windy conditions, doesn't always make for good arrow flight.
UPDATE"" I thought it was a good Idea to go move a stand for my son and use the wind gust to hide the noise. It started pouring in the middle of moving it The wind has now calmed down but it is freakin pouring and to make it worse, I had driven the quad there DOH!! I got swamped :D
