I was in an archery shop in Charlotte, today....and I picked up some NFAA target faces. It's the 40cm face (pretty sure).

    Anyways.....it's the off-season again (for most). Anybody got an interest in a 10yd (15? ...20?) '300' league-ish thingy? I know I can get 10yds in the basement. I can't get 20 (anymore), since the man-cave.

    Anybody?

    Sorry man. I don't understand!

The face is pretty big. I shot a 10yd round, tonight.

    I SUCK!....lol

That was about the 7-8th time I've shot, since I took my buck. I'm ready to get back at it.

    That's the one.

Bails....it's bigger than your screen! Someone over there has to have these faces.

I'm not sandbagging (no reason to). I shot my 1st 10yd round, last night (on this face). I shot a 267/18X.

I shot my second round, today. Less X's, but a better overall score. 276/11X.

Them 40's scare me at 10 yards shooting 5 arrows. I still have plenty of Vegas 3 spots from last time we did this.

I'll shoot whatever you guys say, gladly. I'll pick up some Vegas faces, if that's the way you all want to go.

I can get 15yds. in my basement. If you wanna go 10yds; 15yds or 20yds.....it doesn't matter. I can shoot this format (300 NFAA) on my own. I'm planning on going back to 15yds after I shoot a little more. Then.....back to 20yds, IF I can consistently shoot respectable at 15.

Let me know. I'll order whatever.

My goal, this year (when compared to Steve's), is to not shoot scores indicative of Schultzy's daughter.:D

    Dave,

    - Vegas 3 spot targets are scored as 10X, 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 0. You only have to touch the higher scoring line with your arrow shaft to count the higher point. Please refer to the following diagram to see how these targets are scored.

    So in short:

    - 30 arrows
    - 3 arrows per end
    - 10 ends per game

    300 30x would be a perfect game

The Vegas face (if I'm not mistaken) is a smaller face (overall....this I'm sure of)......and the scoring rings I'm pretty sure are smaller.

If I'm not mistaken.....you waxed us all, last year (I know you did, me, Steve!).

I take it this is Trad only (fully understand)? I have never shot anything like this before but any excuse to do more shooting is a good thing in my book.

How does this work? Most of what you guys are saying is Greek to me. I assume you just shoot yourself and then post your results. Inquiring minds are curious.

I can get to 16 yards in my basement.

I feel like I am just inviting myself so give me a small nudge if I am intruding. ;)

Edit: Just remined myself this is in the Trad. fourm. Nevermind.
