I'm just going to roll with it and see where it goes. Like I said... I've been living on borrowed time for 45 years. It's all good. So I had to call my best buddy ever in life from grade school. We've been inseparable since then. Everyone knows Dave and Chuck go together. You can't separate them. He's coming up tomorrow and we'll have in the 3rd member of the group from diaper times, Don. We're ordering some pizza and wings, beer, tequila and Jack Daniels. It's a celebration of our friendships for so many years. Won't be any sadness... just happy to be together again. I called today and cancelled our annual fishing trip to Canada. Broke my heart.... but I see no way at this point. I'm not going to roll over and die.... I'm just going to ride the waves and strive to survive as long as I can. When I can't wipe my own butt I'll pull the plug... or have a little Patron.
David you've got a great attitude my friend.....we all should pay close attention....best to you and yours Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I727 using Tapatalk 2
Sorry to hear about your ordeal. You've been an old, ornery fart way back to knowing you on Joshua's forum with Bulldog and Len. I've always enjoyed reading your posts... well most of them. You were kind of hard on some of the Mods. LOL I wish you the best and hope to see you on here for many more years. Tim
I was thinking about you and your health the other day. Many thoughts and prayers In hopes that everything works out for you.
Sorry to hear this Dave. Life's a real ***** sometimes. Just hang in there and try to have as good of an outlook as you can. Have a couple shots for me.
Dave watch my grandfather die from this and it is heartbreaking to hear you will go through the same path. He got his from working with asbestos for many years. There are not any words I can give you for comfort, I know and have lived with what you are about to face. If you want a PM or talk on the phone, let me know. I will give you the straight talk of how this played out. May god bless you.
I'm pretty sure on how it will play out. I was my wife's caregiver her last 11 months. Unless this biopsy comes up with something different.. I know where it's going. I honestly don't think I have a lot of time to wait for a lung transplant. It's either the dry cleaning chemicals or agent orange I'm pretty sure. All I need is for my doctors to tell me the truth... that's all I want.
David, I've told you this before and please know I mean it. I thank you for your service to our country, not only as a soldier, but as a person that loves America, worked hard for America, and helped produce from all outward examples, a great son. You have my respect and I am hoping the best for you. Brett
I'm still in my fighting mode. I had my first Pitty Party today when Rick Murry called me... you all know him as MdBowhunter. My son is flying in tomorrow. He knows whats ahead. He is a great son. He took the weekend and today off with his wife to reflect on it all and the like. They booked a room in a hotel with food, wine and space to play. I do like the way the boy plays. The place was Dog Friendly... so they took the dog too.
