I dont do any prepping currently and dont have a specific thing to plan for. But, I think it is good practice to have a decent amount of food, water, ammo, fishing and camping stuff, and other supplies that you could get by on should you be forced to live Amish for a while. Its not so much I think something will happen, its just that something could happen. Even if its just a couple weeks without power, like after a big storm, youll be happy you saved up a few things. Everyone rushes out to buy the stuff they wish they already had when they hear a storm is coming, might as well be proactive.
Well....Julliane Hough, Minka Kelly and Scarlett Johansson will be chained up in my basement still...
I think it's weird that people don't have minimal supplies on hand. Like a genny, some fuel, water and enough non-perishable food to last a few days. Power outages lasting a few days are not at all uncommon. You don't have to be a doomsday prepper but for crying out loud, take some responsibilty for yourself and your family. If you have to scramble the first time you lose power for a day.... you suck.
Got 110 head of beef cows, 3 water wells and large creek that connect two river on property, and enough firearms to be alright for while. And only one gravel roadway to get to it. Two 1000 gallon propane tanks, two 500 gallon diesel, and one 500 gallon gas. Not to count all farm and few pieces of construction equipment holding fuel. That's all jus day to day operation, as far as really prepping or worrying bout anything happening not really.
jrk.... better get yourself some guns, ammo and a security plan. Justin will be headed your way when the SHTF.
Yea we got couple gun safes bout full and not overly stocked on ammo but enough to cause some trouble. Its open enough wouldn't be hard seeing somebody gettin close so better have a white flag ha.
I dont get all the stupid prepping. If the world truly is "coming to an end", then it is going to come to an end. No amount of ammo or canned food will change that. As for the recent gun hoarders. Do you honestly think they will completely ban semi-auto rifles tomorrow? Come on people.
If these three are chained up in your basement my only prepping will be figuring out how to get to your house Sent from my SGH-T959 using Xparent Green Tapatalk 2
Couldn't agree more. I would rather spend my money on something I love then something I hope will never happen. I don't get how preppers minds work, your spending all this money on something you hope never happens?
I used to be a survivalist...prepper like...then I heard about this man.... and he said something to the effect that 'no=one knows the day or hour' ... then he said a few verses later...'what I say to you I say to all, Keep on the watch'. I'll let you figure out what that means, but be assured, it's a given and it's serious. Oh yeah, it's Mathew chapt. 24 vs. 36 & 42
