All i can say is shoot every bow you can get your hands on, some fit and some did not for me. so i bought one of each.
Quest is G5. Don't forget Martin either. I knew I would forget a few others to emphasize my point of how many great options we have as bowhunters.
Ive shot the Z7 and the Destroy 350 and 340, I liked the Destroyers better, the 350 the best. To each their own though, buy the bow that fits you the best, feels the best in your hand, performs to your liking, etc. Good luck.
Just yesterday I shot one. I was at a 3D shoot (my second ever) and a young fellow showed up with his shiny new Z7. Just the day before (my first ever 3D shoot) he was shooting a Hoyt. He paid $775 for his. I can't really comment on the draw cycle. I shoot 70 pounds and his Z7 was set on 60. It felt like I was drawing a kids bow. I can only assume that that's a good thing.
Bought a Switchback XT brand new and love it! I'm not much into a new bow every year.I do agree with shooting several different brands before a final decision is made, with that said I remain loyal to matthews because a)They are great bows and b) My wife is a breast cancer survivor and they contribute lots of money to breast cancer research therefore they have my loyalty.
