lubed the tractor and bushog last weekend. It's ready to go.

 

re-packed the bearing in the trailer also. I should be in good shape for travel.

 

41 post in already. I am getting near the finish line.

44 that's a bad number, reminds me of a bad president.

 

45 now that's a good number for a president.

 

46 ,that was another bad president.

 

47 the best president for a 2nd time!

I have yet to harvest a deer with my new crossbow. I've shot rifles all my life, so getting used to shooting a crossbow out at 60+ yards is pretty cool. Makes you appreciate the hunt that much more.

 

I've used a thermacell while turkey hunting and it was fine. Turkey are a little less finicky than deer though when it comes to scent, so I'm not sure.

We got those mosquito repellent bracelets, and not only do they not work, they smell to high heavens!

why, ARCHERY is suppose to be about getting close (btw, I despise crossguns, I'll NEVER use one) ... Archery seasons should be BOWS only (hand drawn/hand held), put the shoulder fired thingy's in the gun seasons .. (rant over) ...
