Here is the deal.... I was recording some video on my phone the other day and part way through ran out of memory. It appeared to continue recording as I had no idea what had happened until I tried to view the video. There is definately a video file on the phone, it just won't play. I have tried hooking up to my laptop, uploading to Youtube, etc. I even googled it and found someone with the exact same issue on Apples forum. They said to use the app Dropbox and it should play. (at least did for them) Didn't work for me. Anyway, any body smarter than me on this??? Would really like to recover this footage.
I would first start off by plugging your iPhone to your pC and do a backup or backup over wifi. Doing so will protect all of your other information. After backup has been completed check iTUnes. Most likely the video was loaded onto your pc. If you do not back up to pc. You have a couple options. The easiest would be to delete erraneous information that is not used. Bookmarks, extra songs, apps that are not used anymore, old podcasts etc... You can try to email yourself the video. Or..upload the video to youtube/ vimeo and try to watch it that way. All in all iPhones, Androids, Computers, and pretty much anything with a hard drive suffers high performance loss when the hard drive is near or at full capacity. Give these a shot and let me know your results...(I do not work for Apple)
I have already tried deleting a bunch of stuff so I now have available storage. It won't upload to Youtube nor was I able to run it tethered to my PC. I didn't try it with iTunes though nor did I try Vimeo. I'll give that a shot Thanks
