Ok, I'm going to get some dislikes, but I can't help it.

So if I see one more husband and wife bowhunting team I'm going to puke. There, I said it. Let me explain. I an 100% supportive of women hunting. But why does almost every show have to have a husnabd and wife team? I watched one this evening, Maximum Outdoors I think. I couldn't tell if I was watching hunting or they were about to make a porno or rap video..the music was atrocious.. It was rap without lyrics...She is trying to kill her first deer...but "they" insisted it be a mature buck.. what happened to just shooting a doe or small buck for your first deer and being happy? I guess size does matter:moose: Ok, forgive me Lord

I will not dislike I do not enjoy watching other people hunt, it is predictable as porn. B roll BS, music, it is the same plot different title. I do not buy hunting magazines watch videos, none of it.

Born and Raised Outdoors and The Hunting Public on youtube are worth watching. Not your typical Outdoor Channel food plot BS.

I used to subscribe to Deer and Deer Hunting just to get the calendar. Was only like $7 a year but quit after I realized I was getting the calendar in March and never reading the magazines.

I've done the same with other magazines and they are all the same anymore, 86 pages with about 26 of actual content of which is pretty much useless.

My cable service requires a big $$$$ upgrade to get any outdoor channel. There are a couple of outdoor shows that air on cable. I do watch a couple of them but bypass the bass tourneys with all the boats and anglers looking like walking billboards.

I think the moment people tried to turn hunting and fishing into a career it ruined a lot of things.. Well, I mean I have a lot of friends that are pro bass fisherman. Jt Kenny, Derik Rimitz, Woo Daves , Jacob Powroznik and some others. They have to sell their souls to make a living. They don't make a lot of money really, to do what they have to do sponsor wise.. But they sure do get to hunt and fish a lot!!

only a few shows worth watching, Meat Eater, Small Town Hunting(the 'ol Primos boys), Shockey is pretty good, Adrenaline, Western Extreme ... there is a trapping program I like to watch when it is on later in the fall/winter ... if a program comes on and shows crossbows, I change the channel as fast as possible ... I'll watch BOWhunting and some rifle/Gun hunting, but no f'n crossbows .... some of the older VHS tapes I have are pretty good, Kisky, Wenzels (Hunting Oct. Whitetails), **** Idol, the younger Drurys and Primos gang ...

Re Rinella/MeatEater selling out; I did read that his new(ish) business partner is a huge, massive Clinton donor. Like Ed Buck level Clintonista.

I don't know much about him. I have watched his show, read one of his books...but the guy lives in NY city, surrounded by liberals, so it wouldn't shock me if he did give in to something on the left.. But I don't if he has.

Bowhunting and what's cool and not 1980-2020

80' Hunting videos were cool and so were compound bows, baiting is good, all was pretty good.

90's Shooting big bucks regardless of location and hunting videos still cool, baiting still okay, but starting to get look down on. Your choice of camo is now important.

2000's My buck was harder to kill movement started, public vs private, big woods vs farmland. Hunting videos started to lose steam stick bows start to make a comeback, because if I kill one with a stick bow, well the kill is validated that I am a badass. Food plots start to appear, food plots good and baiting is now bad. Camo is important, real hunters do not use Realtree or the big names camo companies. Only lazy hunters do.

2010-2020. It's cool to trash those making videos, QDM is not cool, farmland hunting is too easy, baiting is taboo and only "lazy" hunters do it.
Heavy arrows in, light arrow hunters(like Justin) are immoral SOB, QDM is the only way, bait hunters suck. Only a kill is real if a person was using a stick bow, with stone broadheads sharpen with your teeth and arrow made from a maple tree branch from your backyard. Deer most have been stalked and not from a tree stand, tree saddles acceptable. I am not even going to bring up camo and scent lock stuff.

I can't wait to see what the next decade brings

Yes, I am not a fan of married hunting couples shows. Thanks, Justin for not taking your wife hunting;)

So, I am down to hunting public... I just like their personalities.
As far as most woman on shows, drive me out of my mind. Kinda like reach through screen and palm slap them both. Maybe I've seen the wrong one's, but where is the video of them scouting, hanging stands, trimming lanes and hubby ...shut your freaking trap!!! You did that to a male hunter he'd reach up and yank you out of the tree cam and all. The music?! Who told you brainiachs anyone wanted to here your music? Is music blairing while you hunt?, Not when I hunt. So there is my opinion and we all know how that saying goes.
