Temps 70-80s here, all mine have sprouted well being outside. Still need to put my stakes in. 20200327_101815.jpg

Looking good!..Aahhhh so looking forward to steady mid 60's day and mid 40 ' nights...more snow in forcast ....

    Ps.
Watch those black pots getting too hot. Any heat from sun but also heat off the brick wall and or concrete and asphalt could possibly get too high for tender roots.

That's good to know. I'm still deciding if I should try and plant this year or wait till they are more mature next year. I won't be able to manage them but about once a month.

It depends on the soils you have. The thing about these potted trees is it's best to wait until late summer early fall to plant. This isn't an issue because they are potted. You just have to be very careful transferring the root ball . Hopefully they will be well rooted in pot by then. Light feed a coup!e of times before mid summer. By that time many get early fall moisture and cooler dewy nights. If not tubing you have to hardware clothe tube then the welded wire fencing around each .at least 4ft diameter. Without a tube or tree wrap mice will girdle. Without fencing buck will snap or rub. All deer eat them to the ground. . Check my earlier pics. Also with tubes no problems mulching and keeping it away from trunk. Spray for grubs and keep an eye on Japanese beetles
