I have been saying for a few years I was going to buy a new bow, well as of about 6PM last night I have no choice but to buy a new one!!
The top limb cracked on my 10yr old Martin Jaguar :(

Sooo the question being before I go and shoot the new Bowtech Admiral is the only difference between the 2010 and 2009 models the FLX Guard?

If so is there really a "need" for it? Does it make a difference, I ask because I am fairly certain that the Admiral will be the one I walk out with, it had me sold last year I just couldnt make it happen!

I will have to shoot them all over again, but I cant see nothing being better then last years Admiral (well except for maybe the '10 models).

I think I can find some leftovers from last year, but wanted to check and see the advantages of the new one!!

    Thanks

If it's a big savings, I'd go for last years model. The flex guard won't make that big of a differance for most shooters. Other than that it's the same bow.

Thanks for letting me know. I am not sure what the savings could be, but I will be finding out when I start calling around?

    Thanks

I have the iceman and it is the same way. only difference between the 2009 and 2010 is the flex guard. I actually prefer the 2009 over the 2010 with the flex guard. The flex guard vibrates and makes noise compared to the 2009 model.

An 09' will kill a deer just as effectively as a 2010 model.
