Where are you hunting matt?

 

South west...probably just a couple public land spots. I'm staying in cinci.

Any other Ohio guys hunting in the Northern part of the state? I am 10 minutes from indiana and 40 minutes from Michigan . In the "Black Swamp " area

I have had three encounters with this guy. First two were around 100 yards. Last one was at 67 yards.
He is all mass! One point broke off on his left side. A real trophy class for my neck of the woids

When did the rut even start lol. We didn't see much chasing at all this year.

 

I took this little guy on 11/2 in Warren County. My second deer ever and first in about 18 years. I'm glad to get one under my belt, but will definitely wait for a more mature buck in the future.

 

Small bucks galore...

 

This guy showed up at work yesterday. Looks like he was hit pretty far back and never found. Bummer!

 

Guys I am moving to Lancaster soon and will need to find a place to bowhunt this upcoming fall. I'm a general manager for a top 20 furniture retailer. I am respectful, at least somewhat intelligent (hah) and believe in QDM. If anyone can help me out I'm happy to offer what I can in the way of buys for your home, or even offer some folks a job if they are qualified.

 

Good luck...it's rough finding private land to hunt out here. I'm knocking on doors and sending letters as we speak.

Anyone finding any sheds?

 

I found my first shed last week...it's about freaking time!

 

I haven't been shed hunting yet but I will be soon. I've been concentrating on the price bidding war between different contractors for building our small cabin. We think we have it narrowed down but I haven't been out to my property much so far this year. I will be going out soon to shed hunt and put out the minerals. Hopefully soon we will have a cabin being built for turkey and camping season....

 

I've had a decent season so far for the only three times I've gone out.
