Planning a trip to Ohio with my son to hunt public land this fall, looking at the southeast part of the state I hear it can get crowed down there.I have been studying the topo maps and plan on going down in march to scout for a couple of days. Any suggestions or tips would be appreciated.

I'd keep driving until you hit KY or IN... Seriously, our DNR is finally admitting that our public land herd is in bad (and I mean horrible) shape. The remedy they're proposing is to limit doe kills to only one per hunter, per year on public land. For reference, we're allowed 6 deer per hunter.
Personally, I don't see this helping much, If at all... Our public land herd is a friggin disaster.
