Yesterday I hunted Ohio was planning on an all day hunt. Around 7:15 I blind rattled knowing that there were some good bucks frequenting the area. A few mins after a small 8 came in from behind me, he hung around for 5 mins or so and left. Shortly after I noticed movement on the hill off to my right, a very good buck was silhouetted and working a scrape, the scrape was 65 yds from me. After working the scrape he came down from my right on top of the hill and worked straight across the hill to my left. I ranged some spots where he would hopefully come out and he ended up getting into one of my 40 yds lanes and I made a good shot, he ran back under my tree and crashed within sight. I was totally floored, this is my 5th year hunting Ohio public land and this is the biggest one I have connected with out here.
