I had class all week so i couldnt get out in Ohio until friday. Friday morning i missed a bird at 45ish yards around 1130 am. I think i lifted my head off the stock to see him drop and pull the trigger at the same time. I was pretty excited so who knows what happened. . Me and my room mate from Hocking Tech. roosted this guy and his brother friday night. Saturday morning around 6:30. they hit the ground and started firing off about 100 yards from us. They answered about 3 times before they finally came strolling through the woods. They strutted at 60 yards for probably 10 minutes before leaving. We hit them hard with some aggressive calling and they ran into about 30 yards. WE tried for the double but couldnt get both of them clear at the same time. So my buddy finally whispers, im tired of bird watching shoot whatever one you have a clear shot at. he hit the ground like a sack of hammer and didnt even flop! Back to the truck by 7:15. 9" beard and 3/4" spurs. I couldnt be happier with the results. after a PA bird next!
