Hey guys, I had to change some plans, and now my illinois bowhunt has turned into a ohio bowhunt. I am going November 10-17. I havent made any definite plans yet, but i was looking at the paint creek lake area in ross county. Anybody know much about it? Not wanting your hunting spots, but would just like to know about the area. Hunting pressure? Quality of bucks? Will they be rutting or will i be too late? Any info would be greatly appreciated.

I hunt NW Ohio so I don’t know the area. My advice is to go a week earlier if you can. My first choice would be Nov 3-10 but 10-17 would be my second choice.

Well if you wanna go public land I would say check out Wayne National Forest. Huge land, so pressure is spread out, and there have been some decent bucks coming out of there. The big counties are going to Licking, Coschocton, and Tuscarawas.
