Thanks for taking the time to read and share my story. Best of luck to those still out there chasing the big buck dream...
I have two sitting on the floor not hung up... I haven't made the time to rearrange to make them fit. I keep all of my mounts in a spare bedroom that I use to get away in. Its only 12.5'x12.5' with a large window on one wall, and the door and bifold closet door on another. The other wall sits behind my couch so I try to fit them all on one 12.5' wall. To further complicate this is I have 6" framing members on my exterior walls leading to the studs being 24" on center. I don't trust my mounts hanging on a drywall anchor so I only hang them on studs so this really limits their placing.
I wanted to stop by that night after we left Bob Evans but my buddies didn't want to sit outside in the rain and wind after sitting on stand all day. We have an old 50 foot travel trailer with the heat set on 70 degrees. A TV, refrigerator, stove, microwave and dvd player with hunting vids and like a gallon of Captain Morgan just waiting on us.I extended the invitation for you guys to come to our camp and get inside out of the cold, wind and rain. We had plenty of room.
You were right on in your other reply of 8. I did not fill my tag in 2005 and again in 2007 where I tore my shoulder up and missed almost the whole season.
Fortunately it's been a while but I still very much remember the taste!
Sorry to hear things have been down for you lately. Best wishes getting back on track.

There would have been plenty of room. 50'X12' is 600 square feet of trailer party space :)

Congrats Scott, I was wondering when this one would pop up.

So what are your thoughts after no cameras or glassing this summer? Was it more fulfilling for you?

It is pretty awesome in one way, kind of dumb in another. As you know I do not hunt just one property, I hunt a number of smaller ones. I do not have access to any properties with a lot of acreage (outside of all the public I hunt a couple hours drive away). I love to hunt the early season, so to maximize my time afield early it is best to know what properties are holding bucks I would like to hunt. All of the properties do not have resident good bucks on them every year. Early season it is all about the bedding and feeding areas. I spent all early season hunting small tracts that I had no idea if a big buck was on. Seems kind of a waste to be sitting there and you have no idea if there is a buck you are interested on it.

On the larger public tracts it isn't a big deal because there is so much room to move around. If I am not seeing what I am looking for I have the room to move.

Between not locating any early season bucks to hunt and having a new baby born on September 1st, this season was destined to be tough.

Long story short, after two years of no cams, I will use them again next year.
