It really depends. Few public places I go is not to bad during bow and have decent success. But Try to get to areas that are difficult to access to reduce the chances of others being in the area. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums

I have seen no rut deer movement yet. Does still in groups and no chasing. Scrapes and rubs being made though. Hoping Monday or Tuesday things get going! With this near full moon, the deer have not been moving until 9:30 to noon around me. Sit tight!
Thanks Westfinger. I put down a buck that was casing a few does on Sunday around 6p. I grunted at one that was chasing a doe as he walked away I snort wheezed and he took off (tail between his legs). But the one I tagged came in very aggressively shortly after I called. Tons of rut activity in Medina County. I rattled in 3 different bucks yesterday morning. I filled my buck tag back a few weeks ago.
I have 7 days off work (11 including weekends) to hunt. I'm heading out to my cabin tomorrow for my annual deer camp rut hunt. I'm starting to see more rubs and scrapes as well as bucks on the move just barely before/after shooting light here in SW Ohio so the woods are about to go crazy for the next month or so. Good luck!
Cool. I'm from Southwest Ohio as well. It's cool that there is someone else on here from my region. If all goes to plan, I might be purchasing my first compound bow today!.
SW Ohio here as well. I hunt out in Bethel. Things were slow today to say the least until sundown. Called in a buck, was not able to see how big though.
Bethel is not that far from me, do hunt on your own property? I just getting in to all of this and still researching and buying equipment.
Hopefully rut kicks in anytime now. Saw a buck following some does past weekend but not really chasing, more just interested. Saw other does who appeared under no pressure at all. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Hey guys - I'm originally from OH but moved to TX. I have a bow hunt coming up Nov 17 where I'm going back home to SE Ohio, how are things shaping up??
Saw a buck chasing a doe across the corn field tonight, so I’d say it’s heating up Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I haven’t seen much rutting going on in the last couple days. Bro in law said that he has seen some does being bred. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
