For all of us Ohio brothers-in-trees; post how your season's are going, successes and/or letdowns.
I personally have pulled one evening hunt each weekend and am 50% on deer movement. Last weekend my partner and I seen 8 doe, one of which was his that he dropped at 15 yards. I had 6 move through on me right as pin light faded and am looking forward to this weekend.

    Lets hear the progress!!

Up in the Western Corner of Ohio...We've been out a few times, alot of fields are still holding corn & beans, farmers arnt anxious as us to get thier crops out of the fields, this has lead to a slow beginning in North West Ohio. My buddy took a nice doe opening morning and my son had a couple nice doe come close but not close enough, so we know there out thier it's just with the corn in the fields they have no reason to come into the woods. hopefully we will see alittel more corn harvested here as fall goes on and we can start seeing some action.

Ive also noticed the farmers havent harvested alot of the crops in Southeastern OH either. With the deer still moving well at this point, Im anxious to see the local results over the next couple weeks as the crops come down and the temps drop. Good luck to you and your boy!!!

This is the view from one stand on the farm I hunt in NE Ohio. That dead patch in the beans had a pile of does in it that evening but the wind changed and they stayed way out of range. The next morning about 200 yards back in the woods in a different stand I missed a big doe due to a rest failure. I have not made it back over since but the rest has been replaced by QAD and I am ready to go lol.
