While I don't care much for Lesnars antics the dude is a beast. Beyond his size and strength he is not some slow, cumbersome heavyweight like a Tim Sylvia. He is quick for his size and has a solid chin. The biggest advantage Lesnar has over any of the four in that article is his wrestling, his wrestling background usually just gets mentioned casually but the dude destroyed people on the high school and college levels. His college record was like 106-5. That's insane. We are starting to see in MMA and the UFC that while being well rounded is definitely a must, a strong wrestling background or skills can negate holes in your game. Look at guys like Couture, GSP, Matt Hughes, etc, they were/are dominant and it is usually because they can take their opponents off of their feet an dump them on their head, back, neck, against the cage, or wherever. Forget the hype that is BJJ, strong wrestlers are dominant. Just for fun go back and watch Gracie/Hughes when Gracie said his style would still work in todays UFC, granted I would say he was out of his prime but he was still game and he got owned. Love him or hate him Lesnar has skills and will continue to develop as an MMA fighter, right now I would not hesitate to pick him over everyone mentioned in that article, even Fedor who has the most legitimate chance in my mind of making it a good fight. Only time will tell I guess.
Sounds like Dana will get him. Unless of course Fedor is afraid to come and face the best competition and lose. Not speaking of Brock but UFC fighters in general. The way everyone thinks he is unbeatable I guess Brock has nothing to lose. Although he is still learning and Fedor has alot of experience. If Brock does win I wonder what the excuse will be. It could easily go either way. Brocks strength could neutralize Fedors ground game just like Mir's. Fedors best chance in my mind is standing up he would have the power and quickness to KO Brock if he connects without breaking his hand again. Fedor could fight at 205 if he actually tried dieting lol, I hope it happens just so I can watch some good fights.
UFC has already offered Fedor more money than any other MMA organization. Quit making excuses Fedor come fight in the UFC!
Russian management is crazy... I've watched it for years in the tennis game. Most of the athletes in that arena had to leave their teams to accomplish anything great and start making any real money for themselves (it's usually gobbled up by the Federation)... Fedor may very well have to do the same thing if he wants to secure his legacy by facing the best of the best in the sport.
