Well I guess my thinking was I knew where he was (right in front of me) and he did not know where I was. Advantage me! Believe me I thought about grunting or trying to get him out of his bed somehow. My thought was he's be looking and heading for the source of the grunt (me). Aint know way in hell I was going to be able to get to full draw and hope for an open shot from the ground on this dude that is now looking for me. Stalking him closer wasn't an option. To be that close to that buck on the ground was something else to begin with. I wasn't about to try to get in position for some sort of shot when i'm sitting that close to him. Pretty much knew how that story would have ended (which ultimately it did). So I figured my best chance was to let him get up not knowing I existed and offer me a shot while not knowing I existed or being on alert about anything. Didn't work out, but I don't think I would have changed anything (other than he could have moved 5 hours sooner). That and now I'm about 2 days behind on crap I should have done lol.
