    I go on vacation in 8 hours!!!! 18 days total. I'm so.... hyped! Going to Chicago next weekend for my birthday (going to propose) then I'm back for 10 days of straight up hunting. I wish it was closer to rut, but maybe I'll see something with a decent set of antlers anyway. The first deer of the season wasn't big enough to get anything made really (just a bit of sausage and the loins), so I need another in the freezer to make some burger brats and jerky!

    I am on cloud 8, next stop is cloud 9. Hoping the next three weeks goes as well as I am thinking!

    We had planned on taking a 10 day vacation, but her schedule got messed up initially. When this happened, she said, "looks like you get a lot of hunting time this month". She's already in the know... lol.

    We're staying right next to Grant Park. We bought city passes, and I think we're going to have a great time. Thanks for the well wishes. Not sure which is more important at the moment, the "yes" or the "buck"...... nah.. I know which... "BUCK!". :woot:

    Good luck team mate. Hope she say's yes or at least a "maybe"! lol! So will you be becoming a IL resident or will she become a MO resident? Perhaps some of the guys in Chicago can lend you a hand by showing you the ropes in IL's public hunting.
