I was watching one of those hunting shows the other night and the guy was talking about arrow fletching.

one thing he did was offset the fletching. He put one on as a midpoint. The next a 1/2 inch in front, the next a 1/2 inch behind. He claimed it would mimic a 3 inch vane.

Has anyone ever done this? Results?

I have played with it. I didn't see much of a difference to warrant the ridiculous looking setup. Anymore, there are plenty of 3" vanes out there that perform. I switched to 3" Fusions last season.

I would possibly do it if I were rocking 4 fletchings, but like BC said, if you want it to be more like a 3".... just get a 3" ?

This is a meaningless product of too much time and gotta be different. My 2 inch blazers fly great, if not I buy 3 inch.

It's actually not meaningless. It was brought on when short, stiff 2" vanes were first gaing popularity and 3" versions were not yet available. Many Target archers are still running this.

Perhaps you should go back to bed for a bit? ;)
