Here are a couple that I will be chasing this year...i know nobody got them last year, but I haven't got them on trail camera yet this year!
I never did sign up. Should have. I was just messing with you. I thought the would have given it away. Hope I didn't waste too much of your time looking! Sent from my VS980 4G using Tapatalk
nah took like 1 minute to see besides these posts you haven't posted anything since last year's contest ***YOU HAVE NO CLUE HOW MANY PEOPLE KEEP MESSAGING ME THOUGH ASKING TO JOIN BATTLE OF THE STATES DESPITE BEING LATE***
Beavertronic checking in. Hunting Portage, Shawano, and Outagamie counties. am currently residing in Green Bay.
Ya buddy Score early and often is the name of the game. I just got back from an Orthopedic surgeon visit and found out I will be having knee surgery the first week of September so I'm going to have to get it done out of a ground blind for the first few weeks. FML
JEALOUS!!!!! I have to get my blood thinned at times cuz I got too much cheese running through my veins! Go Pack Go!
I'll be hunting specifically Lincoln County. It's big woods public full of your average (insert any bad word you like), but I love the woods and it's what I'm used to. Here is a few of the picks I had last season. I don't know if the orange army, wolves, or the winter got them though, so here's hoping.
Some nice trail cam pics, looks like the Wisconsin boys are chasing some pretty good ones. The biggest I have a cam so far is in the 130 class, I'm aiming for something bigger but we'll see what shows up. Looks like deer are starting to transition towards corn and acorns, looks like the red oaks have a pretty good crop in my area this year. What's everyone's plans for opening weekend?
Gonna also put out my camera tomorrow. First time this year I'll be in the woods. I have two spots picked out for stands that I'll check out. One is on the edge of a ridge near a creek and the other is on the edge of a really large swamp sort of through a funnel. I already have the tree picked out by the swamp (scouted last winter and found a nice rub line along it). The ridge I haven't gotten exactly a tree yet but I'll figure it out.
Well today was a pretty good day in the woods. I put up my treestand, made a mock scrape, found a tree for a second stand, and setup my trail cam. I would say everything was a success. Although I did learn of some unexpected news concerning the land about where I hunt. Further north about 250 yrds of where my stand was last year they have select cut a hardwoods and also are clear cutting a 1/4 mile down the road from where one of my stands is. I'm not too sure how to feel about this. I'm thinking it could possibly be a good thing. What do you guys think?
bwang checking in, sorry about the delay. I'll be hunting green county primarily and a little bit in Lafayette. It's going to be a great year!
So I put up stand number two today. This one I have a great feeling on! The stand went up with ease, it's by lots of rubs (three in which I can see from the stand), and a couple hundred yards from a select cut hardwoods. I'm starting to get that itch! Let's go Wisconsin and put some bucks down!
