I'm trying to figure out how to post pics. that are big enough to see. I'm pretty much computer illiterate.

Itching to get out. Plots look good, gear ready, fling a few practice arrows each day. It can't come quick enough

Getting pretty excited but goose opener is this weekend so that will consume all of my hunting thoughts for the first week for sure. Pull cards one last time before season next week sometime.

    Getting everything prepped/finalized this weekend:

    Check 3 cameras
Set mock scrape and set camera on it
    Check food plot
    Final stand prep
    Wash/hang all clothes
    Final bow tune

Planning on checking my cameras tomorrow. I need to touch up one stand yet, and I should pretty much be ready. I bought my license today. The upcoming weather forecast will get all our minds thinking about getting in our stands.

I had good success with Code Blue Grave Digger Scrape Mate last year so I'm going with it again.

I will be sure to post pics.

It comes in a plastic pouch that looks like dirt... But smells like deer urine. Dig a small hole, pour 3/4 of bag in the hole, cover and spread around, spread last 1/4 around area. Pour a bit of water on and it's money. You ALWAYS need a licking branch in my mind. I put mine under a low hanging branch that a buck can reach with his forehead.

Sounds interesting. What do you personally use on branch? I'm trying bf synthetics this year. Hoping to figure this mock scrape thing out.

I don't use anything on the branch... Deer know when they smell that urine on the ground that there will be a branch above. Anytime there is a scrape the deer will use the branch above.

The branch above is better than the scrape IMO.

I knew we got a lot of rain... But I wasn't expecting it to be this wet.

It's almost as bad as this spring.

Just checked cams. Main field I planned on hunting has been dead a few weeks. Finally got a doe, fawn, and spike on but that's been it. Scouted some state land where I tried once last year and saw a decent amount on way out. This year I'm going there this weekend or early next week. acorns are falling and lots of sign there. That and whole lot better than pics of wind blowing.
The spike I got the pic of looked like velvet was gone. Saw a fork out two days ago that still had though. Shouldn't be much longer

Pull yesterday I'd say 80% out of velvet and the two I saw in person were out as well.
