I will be bow hunting in south east MN. Depending how that goes, I may try some public land bow hunting in Wisconsin. I'm heading down to check my cameras, and food plots today. I planted them two weeks ago, and it's rained twice :( Hope everyone has a good day, and hopefully I can post some pic's of some nice Bucks later today.

I will be doing the bulk of my hunting in southwest Minnesota. If harvest goes well and I'm done at a decent time I may be hunting in South East Minnesota, up by Two Harbors, and maybe Southwest Wisconsin.

Only two on camera so far. Nothing to brag about but good deer for my area. I found sheds of the ten last year!

Was out glassing tonight and found a beautiful 8, bigger than the ten on the same property.

This ones the best I've got on cam so far. Otherwise a decent 8 and a smaller 8.

Well my food plots were pretty ugly, definitely need some rain. I did check my cameras, and I did have a couple of decent Bucks so that was a plus. Unfortunately the Buck in the second picture must have broke off his one side.

Follow along and root for your fellow Minnesnowtans!

I am seeking some advice for food plots... I am running extremely short on time (my next few weekends are filled with weddings, etc). Tom, do you know how your brassica blend does with little soil prep? And would I be safe to plant this weekend and still see good results? I would over seed a smaller area to get better growth, so I think I should be fine.

I might try the Evolved Harvest Shotplot but want to support a local business and teammate first!

I have not tested it with little soil prep. All of the test plots have been tilled up fertilized planted and dragged or drilled into the ground.

Jake I don't think there is much out there in Food Plot seeds that will grow with no water. lol They were forecasting this past week to be cooler with rain almost everyday, and I don't think they could have been more wrong. Damn my luck with these fall Food Plots. Next week isn't looking much better. :(

We are hurting for rain bad... It crazy how wet June was a d we are begging for rain now.

I stopped at cabelas tonight and couldn't pull the trigger on cabelas brand 5lb brassica and 5lb cabelas turnips. I might just throw some local co op winter rye down...

Have you tried going to your local ag supply store? They usually have some cheaper seed. Thats where we get our brassica and turnips. Don't have to pay for the picture of the high fence buck either!
