Well here's what I've got from a recent cam check. I'll apologize for the nighttime pics In advance, for some reason when I take from the laptop to my phone to post they shrink and get blurry.

The light colored 10 is the one I'll focus my early season efforts on he's got some neat character on his left side. The wide 9 may catch an arrow if he gets too close. The heavy 10 in the last pic is a deer I know well and would gladly take him too, he's 5 this year. I pray that droptine deer disappears and stays safe for another two years until he's mature. I think he's very young with huge potential and I don't want to be tempted to shoot him.

 

Nice bucks! I agree that drop tine buck looks young, he could really be something special.

 

I 3rd that! That buck I'll be honest I probably couldn't pass here in IN, but dang give him 2 more years and I'd probably have to change my pants before getting shot off! #futureBEAST

Haha I'll agree with that! I ate tag soup last year holding out for a mature buck and then missed a hitlister during the rut, so needless to say I'm very anxious to put some horn on the wall in 2014. That buck makes my finger itchy and I'm not sure how strong my will power is!

Haven't seen my big boys in a couple weeks but that's ok they'll be back but I did just get these news guys on camera.

 

Woohoo...nice! I've been getting the same ones and a few new ones too. It's amazing how many deer there are around this year. I'm betting there are more than a few records broken this year around over the country.

 

Well I was supposed to be headed to NW KS to scout for my mule deer trip in early October, but it doesn't look like that is going to happen. Going to have to try again in a few weeks. I do have a short work week due to school starting next week and I'm thinking I may make a 2 hour drive to check my cameras once before season starts and set up a ground blind to accompany my 6 newly hung sets.

This is not like Heckler. He has got it bad. Usually he is in your face and making you feel bad, this year he is all secretive.

Can't wait to see how his year plays out.

 

He's prolly got a giant 6 point, 125" deer tied up somewhere and thinks he'll floor everyone with shock and awe.
