I have been getting a lot of smaller buck activity in it with a ton of does. Nothing big yet but if those does stay close to that spot the big boys are sure to come around in November.
Welcome to the team! Tell us a little bit about yourself, how long you've been hunting, if you got a buck your chasing this year, etc. so we can get to know you a little better. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Did some scouting tonight at a new spot and found a lot of sign. Put out a trail cam. I will check it in two weeks and see what I see.
I just put some wheat oats winter pea and clover in the ground in Va. Oats did really well last year and kept them around all winter. The plots are small so I have to use something hardy too.
Management is key. We only have a few small 20 acre tracts to hunt but still pass on anything that is obviously 2 or younger. Even on does we try for 3 years older better. It's hard so sometimes because we know the neighbors are gonna whack em but we just hope some stay put and they do. I the last few years we started to see more decent racks. I definitely think mineral stations have attributed to that.
Guys- I dabbled with our Avatar pic some last night and came up with this one.. I like it better because it has our team number in it and a few extra little tweeks to the graphics... What do you think?
Since the avatar pics are so small, it kind of blurs together, looks good when it is big, but then kind of just looks like a blob in the middle of the picture when it is shrunk, think the less there is the better it looks. Like the picture and the font though
Ok.. I noticed how it looses is clarity when it shrinks down.. I have one more thing I can try to enlarge it to fit the window block..
I also have some food plots down. Clover, wheat, oats, corn, sunflowers, mellons, pumpkins and soybeans.
