Tony, Hang in there brother. The big boys are just starting to pop here so it should be only a matter of time before you drop the string.
Aaron, Good luck brother. One of those bruisers will make a mistake and get too close before you know it.
My dad just sent me pics of one of our hitlisters in front of our stands right at dark on Saturday. It is definitely here.
Chris, In chatham county the kids saw that wide 9 in daylight on Saturday. They had bows in hand and he was 80 yards out but it was good to hear about him being on the move in the daylight. They are also pounding the corn there. Figured acorns would still be hit hard but seems like thats not the case there. The next two weeks though you should start seeing some daylight cruising. Good luck!
Good to hear! Good luck on the wide 9, hope we'll get out to hunt Friday and Saturday Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Thought I'd share this with you guys... Bob N. from Michigan took this buck we call Harley last night at 5:30 on our 307 lease. We have lots of history with this guy. We believe he was at least 6 years old. Here are some pics from the past of him.
Awesome video, it was well put together and great editing! Do you and your family own land in chatham county? I've seen some land for sale out there that I wouldn't mind buying in a few years.
I just got a text... Of a different kind. My 74 year old uncle shot a cow elk this morning here in PA. He has been putting in for a tag since they started elk season 12 years ago.
If you know how to cook it then it tastes very good. I have seen some people completely screw it up and it tastes awful.
Haven't been able to get out much here in Maine due to work, but we head to Illinois on Thursday for 10 straight days of hunting!! Can't wait, and I hope to be able to add some points to the team finally!!
Sounds like a dream hunt! Good luck on the grain fed brutes up there!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
My brother in law has shop in Chatham county where he makes welding rod. Its like 20 acres and 90% field but the deer numbers appear to be high and they like hitting the fields for clover and quick routes. He lives in New Jersey and likes for someone to go out and check the place out every now an then. So its a win win for all and something rather close in case I can't get up to Virginia.
Very similar to deer. Most important is getting it out of the hide and cooled down. Makes great jerky too.
Ah, very nice, always good to have family haha. I've saw land for sale on Chatham county that one day hopefully miss Lori and I could buy. But as for now, first order of business is getting out of school and hopefully a more desired job (and pay). Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
