Just had a doe jump the fence right in front of me. She kind of seen me, didn't spook but knew something was wrong. She hoped back over the fence and followed the fence line. Had 2 fawns with her and a small 8 with potential following her. I'd guess the buck was 2.5yr old.

Wes, next time just tuck your head between your legs and hold your knife out in the direction you hear the deer coming from. That way, if it's one of the big boys atleast you'll have a chance! :moose:

I think we would have a good argument behind the situation! :D If not, it would count in my book haha. Just think of the story behind that deer on your wall

speaking of deer on the walls...Miss Lori and I were able to hang the mounts this past weekend in our new home. Check them out! They look good, she picked the wall, and I must say, the perfect wall. You can see them soon as you walk in the door :D

Well just missed a big doe. Some how shot over her. I mean way over. Had cams rolling, great footage and blew the shot. It was a chip shot too, 15 yds maybe. Don't know if it was me or maybe my sight is off. Gonna have to check it when I get home.

    Wes.. That sucks..

Hope it is just user error and you don't have to mess with your bow much. It's not the time of the year any of us want to go thru tuning our bows...

Checked everything out when I got home. Shooting high left. I'm pretty good at tuning so it doesn't take me too long. Checked center shot. French tuned. Sighted in with points and broadheads. Everything shooting dead nuts now.

Well I got it done last night. This is my first double deer! Doe and a nubbin buck. Both of them were 40 yard shots and easy blood trail. Shot them with my PSE Brute, G5 Montec broadheads. I know the doe is worth 50, what would the nubbin buck be worth?

I definitely know what you mean. That does suck. But did he get it on video? If not them be on the look out. He could have hit the deer high and missed the lungs/or only got one. Last year my step son shot a wacky rack deer and said he nailed him. We found the arrow broken off covered in blood then nothing else. Two months later old boy showed back up on trail cams with a big old scar high in the shoulder. Until you find a carcass I would consider him to be alive. If not I am sure someone will find him during the season. So hang in there it could turn out good yet.

From what I understand it is considered a button buck and is not considered a legal buck in your state. Therefore your doe would count towards your antler less entry and the button buck would be your bonus entry and would be 50 points as well.

    Welsey,
Aww man sorry that happened but now you got everything in order to go out a whack a stud of a buck. Silver lining is that it was a doe and not a hoss buck.
