Nice bucks Aaron.. Hope you can get one in front of you to draw on!!!

I spent 10 hours in a tree stand yesterday just to see one doe.. Moon is killing me.

Today I decided to move some ground blinds. Hope these sets provide some shot opportunities.

First buck from my lease is on the board...

Big congrats to my nephew MJ on taking this nice 10 pt.

Hoping to hear later today that another buddy finds this buck. He shot him last night right at dark and backed out until this morning.

I’m bummed and not for the reason you might think!

I waited all day for word on my buddy’s search for Flyer. That’s the name we had given the buck he shot last night.
After he backed out--- we got about an inch of rain. Not a good scenario.

Ten hours of searching today turned up nothing; no sign was ever found. A grid search was performed, they called in the dog, and still nothing.

He had a quartering away shot at 23 yards. Got 7 inches of penetration into the offside shoulder. A little forward, but no doubt deadly in my mind.

    The reason I’m bummed!

Deer come and go in our world of bow hunting, the pain of losing such a buck is devastating.

Another deer will replace Flyer, but the memory of wounding and losing him will never fade from my buddy’s mind.

Well I'm set up about 2 rows in on a corn field today. Had a crappy wind for any of my stands. This is where both shooters stepped out 10 days ago at 730am.

Bout crapped my pants earlier, had a deer come running by me in the corn, heard it coming so I just assumed the kiss your *** goodbye position, it grazed my chair and arm.

So does it count as seeing a deer if my eyes were closed?

May not of counted as seeing a deer but it does go to your " deer I've touched" count

Nope I love roller coasters. Eyes open and arms up. But the sound of a deer running up behind me, while I'm sitting on the ground in a corn field in the dark, I'm sticking my head between my legs, and closing my eyes and waiting for the hit.
