Oh man, I hate that for ya! Now you have to wait another whole week!! Haha. I'm sitting a spot this afternoon that is a little more aggressive, halfway in between their bedding and our soybean field. There is 3 white oaks dropping in this spot and I game consistence pictures of them here around 6:30 to 7. Maybe one will make it's last mistake tonight! We pulled the chip yesterday on one of the south leases and have some decent bucks showing up. Hope they start moving during the day a little more. This lease is a target rich environment!
Those are some dandy's tony! They'll start moving in daylight when they get a little more smell of the ladies around!! Good luck sealing the deal on one this year!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Saw 2 does but no luck on a shot, I sat up all wrong and they came from the wrong way (from where I was planning). Why can't they just read the script?? We have a cold front coming in Tuesday, hoping to get out and try again. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Well I have been MIA for awhile, been on a moose hunt for the last week and a half here in Maine.. My father filled his tag on the second to last day on this 50" (spread) bull! Dressed out 817lbs. We tried all week to get one with a bow and passed on some smaller bulls within 35 yards. Shot this one with a rifle though as it was in a super thick spruce bog. Shot him at 15 yards. Now that bear and moose season is over I'll be in the deer stand a lot!
Been there done that but it sounds like you have them pegged anyhow so its all good. Good luck on Wednesday.
That is the truth! Matter of fact I thinking I'm gonna out those signs up this afternoon all over the property maybe they'll come! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Hey gents. Just checking in. Had yard work to get down on Saturday and drove up to Virginia on Sunday to check stands one last time and pull cards. Lots of movement but mostly young deer, turkeys, a yote and few small bear. Nothing that really gets my heart racing. With all the timber clearing looks like a few of the older does have relocated which surprises me a little. Not looking like a banner year and the acorns are thick. This is what it looks like below my stand: Its in a saw tooth oak but has lots of white and red oaks in that thing strip. We usually don't see the big boys till about last week of October/1st week of November so I am still hopeful. Just maybe doing a lot of filming during the October lull but least I aint tied to a desk.
Logging last turned out to be of great use to me, I was able to take my biggest NC buck to date. Like you said, some does relocated to my farm and several bucks, including the super eight. Hopefully it works to your advantage as well! Good luck bud. Persistence pays off Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

One more day fellars. I gotta work tomorrow morning, but will hopefully be off around noon and in a tree by 2. Hoping the patterns have not changed since I checked cams a week and a half ago.
I hope not as well, I wanna see you with your hands around one of those stud bucks on your property! Good luck! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
