Well ended up with 6 birds tonight, 10 total for the day. Should of had more, but my aim was off. Will head out again in the morning for another go at it... Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
I see a lot of dove here in SE Wisconsin, but it's always in the residential areas. I saw a few dozen while goose hunting the other day.
Ok this week suxed and was a nice surprise all the same time. Not going to talk about the sucky part but my brother-in-law has 20 acres in Chatham county he tells me to hunt. I usually corn it up for the kids and will hunt it late in the season when I can't get up to Virginia. We put out some yella acorns and low and behold this old fellow shows up.. .. I think I will be hunting earlier this season. He won't score worth a crap but dang thats wide.
Heading out goose hunting Wednesday! We'll see how it goes. Been a while since i've had the 12 gauge out haha
Latest pull-- Check out this neat looking young buck- Looking forward to seeing what he turns into next year if he makes it past the neighbors. This guy is staying regular. Even if he is only 3 he may get a hard look if he walks by! Had this little busy tail on cam also. Not had many fox on camera this year. Good to see we still have a few running around
Tony those are some beautiful bucks. Especially the second! He'd also would get a hard look from me Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Couple pics from yesterday’s pull. This cam had been out for 4 weeks. It only had 1884 pictures and most were smaller bucks and does. Here are a couple of the better ones.. I believe both are 3 year olds
Spent the day moving stands and checking food plots. Here is the way the plots look after 3 weeks... Kind of disappointed that the soybeans didn’t do better.
My plots are looking kinda rough too Tony. We got A LOT of rain this year that have drowned and diseased my fall brassica plots. Hoping they'll pull back around Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
After checking cameras today I was a little disappointed. On 4 cameras I got 2000 pictures but only 50 of them were bucks. I am a little relieved because I knew that it was coming because the bucks are shedding their velvet and changing their ranges. I moved all of them to a different farm to see what is roaming there. Also worked in my plot. Mowed it down and put some 19-19-19 down before the rain.
Aaron, your plot is looking mighty good. I'll venture to say I know where those deer will be come winter time! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
That's the plan. I'm hoping the turnips and radishes start putting on some mass to give the deer some late season energy sources.
Aaron seeing the same thing on our cameras... Hoping that all the good ones don't disperse to other locations... I did see 3 bucks yesterday in the new plots. 2 were hard horned.
