Out in the blind now...hoping to have a big ol tom show himself tonight! Good luck to anyone else out tonight.
No such luck for me tonight, didn't even see a bird! My Dad and Sister were also out in different blinds and saw the same jenny...that's all the excitement we had. Hopefully others had more luck than I did tonight, but I'll be back at it tomorrow morning.
Back in the blind all setup and I've got two birds gobbling about 500-600 yards away. I'm hoping there's something a little closer than that because I doubt those birds will work all the way to me.
No more activity for me this morning but I'll be heading back out to the blind for the afternoon hunt shortly. Hopefully I'll have some better luck this afternoon...will keep you guys updated on what happens.
I'm heading to the Eastern shore at 3 am and as long as I can stay away from the coyotes I have a good chance in the morning.

Goodluck to you too. I used to think I was lucky to have some great public land on the Eastern shore of Md but then sometime it gets too crowded. This morn some guys yelp sounded like he was strangling a cat. I had gobbler talking real soft and a guy across the field busted the whole place. Lol. Oh well what's 4 hours of driving and getting up at 2 am to hunt before work. Lol. Good times!
Flung an arrow yesterday around 10am and gave a nice tom a hair cut shooting a new broadhead and it opened going through the mesh screen in the blind and flew like crap. Live and learn a few more days of season 3 and then on to 4 so we still got time. Looks like Fergie and I will be back out tomorrow morning.
No luck for me this weekend, the birds were definitely no cooperating for me I only saw one bird in almost 20 hours in the blind over the last three days! Oh well I'll give it a few weeks off and then I'll be back up there with my twin 4 year olds hopefully they can bring me some luck!
I'm not sure what state your in but Md has been in a 2 week cold snap that is screwing everything up from what I've been hearing. I probably won't get out till Saturday
9 birds this morning but none had intrest in my decoys all about 50 yds out maybe closer hard to tell setup the blind facing east what a idiot any advice on the decoy issue? Ive seen birds everyday but one never got intrest in the decoys removed the tom and put out a funky chicken still nothin Sent from my iPhone 5s using Tapatalk
Back at it tomorrow guys trying hard to put one down. I gave one a hair cut so far this year but havnt sealed the deal. Brushed in the blind to see if maybe it was the blind that was shying them away. I will keep you posted.
Good luck John! Hopefully you can fool one of those birds and can get a good clean shot. I've still got a couple more weeks before I can go back out, but maybe the birds will have moved back into my area by then.
I should have some pics in the morning. Just put 2 birds to bed. Be back in 6 hours to put them in my freezer.

No luck today but I saw the biggest bird I have ever seen and caught trespassers hunting my land so not the best day. Hopefully I get one Monday.
