Well boys, just shot a buck! Not big at all, probably 110 but I had to do it! About 45 minutes ago he came trotting by with his mouth wide open, got to 47 yds and welcome to jack city! Haven't recovered him yet, got a buddy hunting about 200 yds away and I don't wanna ruin his evening. Shot was dead nuts! Blood is everywhere! I'll post pics in a bit

Went last night after I cleaned up the buck and got my other tag... Sitting in a tree waiting for that big buck to give me another shot at him! I'll measure that buck tonight and get it on the board

10-4...heading out to the woods now. Brother in law says he's been seeing a few nice bucks, so hopefully one of those jokers come in. Gonna put the tape on that buck when I get home... How's everyone doing?

That sucks man! If it makes you feel any better, it's November 13 and I'm sitting on the effing ground! Genius future brother in law set up a climber about a week ago on some decent property where we've seen a couple nice bucks... We get here this morning an he shows me "exactly" where its at on a map, tells me to walk down this path and I will walk right into it... Bullsh*t!! His sense of direction sucks!

Brad that isn't a grim reaper on your arrow? Man I wish we could hunt Sundays here. Next year I'll have to check out RI.

After hunting two days without seeing anything last night when leaving I saw a doe under a light by the truck. It's like she was saying we're here you just can't find us! LOL

I finally got to take a shot at my first deer! And I missed...

A friend who owns the neighboring property to ours said I could hunt out of their elevated box blind if I wanted to on Saturday evening. He said there were some mice and they hadn't been up in it yet this year but I was almost guaranteed to see some deer. Got in there about 2pm. Spent the first hr and half smacking mice with a spare arrow and tossing them out the window. Everything in that place had become their nest. Including the seat i was on. The last thing I wanted was a mouse crawling up me. So I was on edge the whole time. After I took out 3 of them the remaining 4-5 were finally afraid of me and avoiding me. Around 5 I decided to take a leak. Stood up grabbed my bottle and went to town. Was an aluminum little so it was just loud enough it was all I could hear. Right when I get so I glance out the window to see a small 4pt broadside at 15yards. Crap! I scramble to get a lid on the bottle and my bow in hand without making any noise. By the time I unbungee'd the window and got it open he was already out of my shot field and behind the blind where the door was. I figured he was going straight over the hill but he circled me instead. But this side of the blind is wooded and a steep down hill. He comes Broadside at about 30 yards. I draw back and stop him. Crap again! Big branch in the way and he is almost behind a tree can see from his shoulder back! So I squat a little and let the arrow fly. Well needless to say, between nerves and awkward shooting position, I completely missed him and smacked a tree. He jumped and took off. At the time it was just dark enough I wasnt for sure if I hit or missed. Ended up finding my arrow. Busted arrow, busted broad head. No blood. Oh well. At least in all my mistakes I didn't just injure him. Had I not been peeing, I would of had a perfect 15yard open shot.

It's all such a blur and happened so fast I wasn't even for sure if I even aimed right or anything. Was shaking so bad from excitement that my first ever deer even seeing while on stand was nut only within range but was a buck! Not much of on but he was one.

Went out today and put up another stand on my property. It's in the same ridge line he was traveling.

Connected with a good buck this afternoon!!!! Will have pics up tomorrow after school. He is a 8 point only about 13 inches wide. Around 4:45 he came in from the field and winded me at 35 yards and i let him have it.
