Jenna, why don't you have one of those big boys in your profile picture take care of that azzhole. Here you are being nice and not shooting the deer he laid claim to and this is how he repays you and you call him a friend? Not a friend I would want.

I didn't hunt today, I needed some sleep but will be out bright and early Wednesday morning. I have a new spot I'm going to check out some more. I went there yesterday and it looks promising. Over grown field, swamp lands, lots n lots of briars. I found some large rubs just in the half hour that I was there.

    Sucks to hear Kentucky.

Can't take it any more. Despite pre-season it looking like my current locations was going to be a strong one, it has been a bust and I am moving my stand. I will hunt out of it 1 last time on Saturday morning and in the afternoon I am going to try scout out a tree in another location that has a LOT more activity going on and then on Sunday move the stand. Its a fairly large bedding area that holds 3-4 does maybe more. We have trail cam pictures of them in the area at all hours of the day. Most difficult part of this location is going to be finding a tree that will hold the stand and be accessible without leaving a scent trail all over the place. Also, this spot has been taken by my brother in-law and he has a crude ground blind setup that isn't worth hunting out of. So we are going to share the stand. Me and him combined only get to hunt 2 days a week so I'm hoping we don't skunk it early.

Went out this morning but nothing! I've been trying a new spot that I've never scouted. I'm going to get out of there until I can scout it out. Going back to my old spot.

This weekend and Veterans Day are my final 3 days to hunt until firearm season starts. I'm going to hit it hard and hope for the best. Clothes are washed, backpack and bow are ready. Now all I need is to have some deer show up :D

I went to a spot today that I haven't hunted in like 8 years. It's kinda hard to get to but the sign is awesome! I'm soooo excited! The problem is if I get one the work is going to be hard finding it and getting it out because of swamp. There is no way I can leave it over night because of coyote, but I'm the man for the job!

Wheeeew walking about a 1/4 mile on railroad tracks, about another 1/4 mile in the woods then climb a tree takes a lot out of an old man. I've got to tell you though I was sitting in my stand yesterday afternoon and said to myself this is really awesome! This is what it's all about! I saw a couple doe in the morning but it's not even that. The day was crisp. the sun was shinning, the woods where absolutely beautiful, the scent in the air was enough to make me high, it all made me realize this why I love this and how lucky I am to be alive
    No, I didn't get a deer! Yet!

Seen about 40 turkeys so far, all about 300 yds away. Checked a trailcam last night and had a butt load of younger bucks on it! Sitting here waiting to kill something, and I am jacked the eff up!!!

I spent most of the weekend in a tree. I rattled up a 100 inch 7 pt Saturday morning, lil guy came right to the base of the tree I was in. He hung around for about 10 minutes, then finally left. No sightings Sat evening or Sunday morning. Last night I had a lone doe fawn come by at 10 yards. So much for the trophy hunting :)

This Friday I am planning on hunting daylight to dark. Keep at it crew, the deer are on their feet.

I had crap for luck on Sunday, sat all day and seen only a few deer, and a bunch of turkeys .... Here's a sad story... My buddy decided to go out west with me and left a good price of property doing so, while he was gone, a guy on the property shot this buck and we didn't see crap!!!

About 930 this morning I had a big 160 with stickers everywhere come trotting by, mouth wide open, not knowing I was in the world... He gets to about 35 and I blew it, enough said

Haha, no arrow hit a small limb and then smacked into something... I say "something" because I can't find it, but there isn't a drop of blood within 100 yds of where he ran.... Sitting in the same tree right now, hopefully something dies, that is if I can actually shoot it!

Well I hate to tell this story but here goes. I had four doe come into my stand and I shot the biggest one. Perfect shot she went down with a loud bawl (sounded like a burp) then got up and ran about forty yards. I watched her waiting for her to lay down but she acted like she wasn't hurt at all. She stayed there for a couple minutes twitched her tail the others went running up to her and they walked off out of sight. I knew exactly where she stood the last I saw her so I went to that point and to my surprise I only found one drop of blood. I followed the trail for a while but found no more blood. I went back to were I shot her and found my arrow with no blood on it except for a little bit where my broad head should have been. At first I thought my broad head broke off in her but when I looked in the end of the arrow the hole the broad head screwed into it was full of meat. All I can think of is the broad head unscrewed and fell off without me noticing it.
    Not happy!

Sorry to hear that bob. If it makes you feel any better I am not having much luck either. I have over 100 hours in the stand and nothing to show for it. But i will be back out this afternoon hopefully my luck will turn around

Best of luck to you Drag n Brag!
I took the day off today. I haven't had much sleep these last few days. I work nights and get up at 4am to hunt the mornings. It rain yesterday afternoon/night and is windy today so I slept in and will hit it hard Saturday! :0)
