Still nothing here. He'll only seen 1 buck and he was a single spike. I know they are around, just not hitting the right spot. The area that I'm in though is thick and then open forest for 50 yards then thick again so they could skirt me and I wouldn't know.

Congrats to Jake on what looks to be a dandy!

Here's my buck from Friday night.. sorry for the delay as the kiddo's been sick with a stomach bug and I haven't slept for days.. and days now.

Second time ever sitting this new property.. scouted it last week.. not alot of deer sign but found a couple buck beds and hunted him to extinction.

    Great looking bucks guys!

Well I made it out again Saturday night. Decided to hunt off the ground at the edge of a field. It's a heck of a hike up there and was a lot hotter than I expected. Even in just a t shirt I was sweating like crazy so that probably dint help me any. About a half mile before the field I jumped 3 different deer... Another thing that didn't help anything lol. It was 3:30 and 55+ outside. Was not expecting them to be out and about like that. Needless to say by the time I got cooled off and setup I had pretty much screwed up my hunt. A guy I share the property with has a ground blind very close to where I jumped those 3 so I might see if I can hunt from it Saturday. Only problem is it is just made out of that camouflage burlap they sell at Walmart so it is fairly translucent. He got busted by a doe sitting in it once already. But he had fallen asleep and woke up with her at 15 yards :).
I'm all over the place on what to do. So far in 3 sits I haven't even seen a deer. Turning into a frustrating season.

    Thanks Tim.

I learned my lesson last season after having my first kid and only making about 50 hours of stand time.. I need to be more efficient!

I have about 30 hours left I figure and I'm going to wait for it to get good!

Good luck to you.. hope you got something on the cooker!
