Wow, a lot of ridge running huh? I like the area of the intersecting deer trails near the stream. As far as food sources, look for white oak. They are the ones that have a lighter bark on the tree and the leaves are rounded. These are supposed to be deer magnets. Look them up on the web so you know what you are looking for. Good luck!!

Yah, That was one of my planned areas but just this past sunday I walked out there and couldn't find any signs. No trails, no tracks... In Feb. there were multiple trails in multiple directions converging there.

Sitting in a tree right now...my buddy is about 150 yards east of me and about 40 minutes ago he texts me saying," 150 and 130 coming your way no joke I swear!" so I get ready and wait, and wait, and wait... And never seen them! He's got a pretty good judgement of score, and wouldn't jack around with me. Man is that nerve wrecking getting that kind of text though.

Gee Tekel are there any pinch points around? Have you followed the stream to see if there's a spot where they cross all the time. Try to find a feeding area, if the field hasn't been planted in a while they probably won't be hitting it. See if you can find a producing white oak. Ooow persimmons also.

Yeah someone suggested I use it in video mode and it works great. This week I had five videos. Looks like Three bucks and three doe with some eyes deeper in the woods at night and three turkey. I had one of what looks like a nice buck but all you can see is some of his horn in the bushes, he never comes out.

Put out the camera at my nephews yesterday. He said there is 1700 acres out there. Went there today and there were six deer on the camera. So I put up a ladder stand. Of course the tree I chose had a wild rose bush that went from bottom to top.I got all cut up but it's up. So now I have two good spots for the 17th. Can't wait......

My son got a young doe this weekend during the youth season. We saw several does he ended up taking this one about 8am Saturday. It was too hot to bowhunt for this old fat guy.

Was out on Saturday in what was a very hot spot for years. This year no sign of any deer movement. Went and scouted a new area and found some things to make you pay more attention to this area. Rub.jpg scrape.jpg
