40% chance of showers starting at 4pm through 10pm tonight... Will be on stand.

Finally starts to cool down this week. Hoping it gets them moving - Have only been seeing does on stand lately. 0 daytime movement on any of my cams as well.

Never got out to hunt, but was out to hang a stand so I can take a local exchange student out with me tonight. 10yds from my tree is the first scrape I have seen this year. Hoping he comes back tonight.

Sat. had the makings for a good day but was a bust... Apparently in the wrong spot in the morning and warmed quickly by midday.

I doubt I'll be able to get out this coming Sat, but I may have a slim chance for an evening sit later in the week.

11/1 starts muzzleloader season, so I'll now have to add some orange to my wardrobe :(

I saw deer on the way to, or on way home, from every sit this weekend. I just never saw any while in stand. Found five fresh scrapes, so maybe thats a good sign of things to come

I'm still at it, boys. Just not much to report from last week. I only sat on Monday evening, Friday evening, and Saturday AM. Just doe and one small buck during those three days. Saturday AM was perfect weather, but I was skunked. Back at it this evening.

    Good luck to you all!

Another sit and nothing other than squirrels.

I'm hoping my luck changes this week.

Choot em! Seriously though, if you're that overrun I would be taking target practice, maybe even with a rifle and/or a trapline.

41 for a high on Friday.... I will be leaving work early to get in the stand. Perfect wind too.

20-30mph wind gusts today as the cold front moved through... Tomorrow we have a high of 46 with WNW winds.

Will be in the stand this evening.

I was only able to take a half day of paid time off on Friday... But at least it is better than nothing! Should get to the stand at about 2pm (have to be in the corporate office and have a 1 1/2 drive home).

Well... Found something very discouraging today on my lunch break.

Took a long lunch to check the cam by my winter rye plot... I get there and see that the farmer who leases the field from us has plowed almost all of it under. Not sure if he thought it was just grass or what. Planned on hunting my stand next to that plot tonight and Friday.

Not sure what to do now.

Well sat in that stand tonight... The 5 acre bean field across from me (100 yards) is getting absolutely hammered still.

Most deer I have seen in a night yet this year.

A ton of chasing but couldn't see what was chasing the does... 10 min after sunset in the beans. They were getting chased all over that field for 30+ min.

Triple post... Anyone else getting out today? "Feels like" temperature is 16* this morning and I'm on my way to work.

Have to work only a half day and will be out around 1.

I'll be out this afternoon. SE wind will be good for hanging near the food plot (still have doe frequenting it, but the big boys are no where in sight yet). May give rattling a chance this year.

I'm going to hit it hard this weekend. I have a couple of spots I've been avoiding until the rut was close and I think this weekend is the time to slip in there and sit for a few hours.

Got told last nite that I dont have to work today if I dont want to. My choice. Was all excited about getting in a tree. Thats until I listened to the wind blowing! Holy hurricane. I'm afraid I'd get sea sick. This wind is ridiculous :(

Starting to get pictures of different bucks. Got a blurry pic of the guy I named junkyard earlier this year. He is all that is deer... Wish I would have gotten a better pic.
