    Had 2 bucks come out 5 min before last shooting light... The littler one came out first, second one was either the 8 or 10 I've been after. He worked a scrape and then moved into my winter rye and ate at 50yds and walked away.

    They have to mess up soon.

    Well guys, stuck a pretty good 2.5 year old MI 8 point today. Went out solely looking to shoot a doe on film and I saw this buck and another following 2 does around. I grunted, he stopped and looked then blew me off. 15 mins later he came to me on a string and I let him have it. Double lung, ran about 100 yds on a haul butt death run and piled up! He's not my biggest but I was pumped and ha a blast today. Feels good to hear that thwack!! I'll get him posted up in the contest tomorrow or so.

    Alright, congrats! Now we're talking.

    Passed on an 8 on Friday evening, and then had a solid, heavy 10 50yds on Saturday AM. Unfortunately, he wanted nothing of my grunts.

    Back at it again this evening.

    Light drizzle and a 10mph N wind... Have pics of that 8 I passed from 7:33pm. Hope he decides to get up a bit earlier now that the rain has stopped.

    No such thing as a "gimme" in hunting. Had 15 in front of me at ONE TIME tonight (saw 16 total). One 6 point and a scrub 4, the rest doe and fawns. Most didn't give a shot, but drew back on a few only to have them turn, or one of the young bucks chase them around more.

    We're starting to see a problem hunting next to 150 acres of sanctuary that also doesn't have planted food sources. They are all flocking to us. No wonder my brassicas are almost all destroyed already.
