I shoot the GT XT Hunters, I think they are 7595, but I am not positive.

    My broadheads are 100 grains.

CX Mayhem Hunters 350 here, 125g fixed blade, the name is escaping me, with the old CX lighted nicks and blazers. ~450gr total.

I shoot gold tip expeditions, got them for a good deal and the archery shop I go to preaches gold tip. So I'd recommend shooting some goldtips!

Well just got back from the shop not to long ago... Ended up getting 6 Gold tip XT Hunters 7595/340 w/ 3in vanes and a new set of slick tricks. They are bigger arrows than i am used to... I was set on getting the maxima reds with smaller vanes but the expert told me otherwise... Tells me he's not just in it for the money and really wants to help new archers.

I wanted the blazer vanes but he advised against it... Haven't used bigger vanes in quite some time.

He raised the poundage of my bow - Don't have a problem with the higher weight.

    Adjusted my rest.

Sighted in my field points and then sighted in my broadhead.

He spent a good 30 minutes with me working on my form and how I should handle certain situations.

Feeling a lot more confident after tonight... I'll be in the stand tomorrow evening!

Will not be in the stand tonight... Ended up having to attend a meeting in Minneapolis and won't get home in time.

Will be in the stand the rest of the week.

    Anyone heading out tonight?

Woken up to frost on the ground and on the car windows for the last few days... Low of 30 the next 2 days.

Wind has finally died down. Hoping it will be a stellar night in the stand.

Button buck down! 50 points to start our team off with! Took it tonight 6:00. I know your probably like why shoot a button buck but its on private land that we don't know we get year to year to hunt. So im not there to manage the woods lol. And it filled my doe tag. It came in and I got a 5 yard shot on it and it went 60 yards and died! So were finaly on the board!!

Good job! Still counts as a doe, now you can get big point's when you put down a big boy :)

    Awesome job!!!!

Ended up seeing 3... Had deer all over me. Had a 2.5yr old 8pt at 10yds for a good 15 minutes... So hard boy to take the shot when I haven't gotten a buck with my bow yet.

    Congrats!

Mnhunter, don't pass on a deer today that you will take tomorrow. Tomorrow is never guaranteed :D

I almost had 50pts for us last evening. Had a nice doe at 10yds, then 5yds, but never gave me a shot. Too much autumn olive. She was supposed to walk 15-20yds out, not up close. Doesn't she know the script? Saw two other doe and three fawns. Plenty of turkeys.

Boys I thought it was signed sealed and delivered last night. Got to the stand a bit late. The small 8 and 145 10 were already in the field. So I backtracked and took the long way to the stand. Field was full of does and I was watching two of them at about 15 yards in front of me. I looked up and there he was. If only my bow was sighted in at 200 yards! I didn't try to call since it is a bit early yet. I feel his demise is getting closer!
