15mph winds this evening... Hope it doesn't limit deer activity too much.

This is one of the fawns that came by to visit last night. Here's hoping the video works.

Apparently you just get a picture. Close enough.

Had two 4pts come in last night about an hour before sunset... They passed up my winter rye and fed on natural grasses growing in the overgrown field. Have to figure out why they're not feeding in there.

If you were to want them to wander in front of you, you could try dragging a scent line of estreous doe across the overgrown field into the rye field as the deer closer to the rut.

How far? Are you 'punching the trigger'? Relax man. I think you're putting too much pressure on yourself

13yds... Don't think I'm punching the trigger. I can't put the pin where I want it. I have to force it down to the vitals. I think I have target panic.

Are you aiming low enough? Where do you sit the pin on the deer when you shoot? Sounds like you just ain't aiming low enough. But hey man it happens least your learning it now instead of going the whole season not seeing anything and taken a bad shot on a buck towards the end of season and then season over. I'm jealous your actually seeing them lol. Its been to hot here.

If you're in a stand, are you bending at the waist to bring the pin down or are you lowering your arm? Are these standing or sitting shots?

Was going to be my question.

I blew a few shots in my day sitting down because I wasn't careful of bending at the waist. You would be surprised how much variance your POI can have even at short yardage if you're dropping your arm instead of bending your waist.

Keep at it though. It's all a learning experience, no matter how painful it is.

Hang in there man, you'll get him! Good advice from the team members of bending at the waist. Years ago I missed one at 5 yards! I feel your pain! Just squeeze that trigger!

Tomorrow's AM forecast looks iffy. Will be a game time decision. Late morning and afternoon sits should be great with the front moving on out and cooler temps.
